Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) is going to conduct a written test for the recruitment of Scientist ‘B’ in Medical/Epidemiology, Veterinary Science, Life Science, Biostatistics and Anthropology/Social Behavioral Science. Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. So Candidates must be know that “What to prepare” and “How to prepare” for the best in their Exams. So, here we are providing the latest determined Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Scientist ‘B’ exam conducting by ICMR.
Exam Pattern : Exam Pattern for the Scientist ‘B’ written Exam is as Follows:-
► The written exam will be subjective (conventional) type.
► The question paper will be of 100 marks.
► The question will be set in both English and Hindi.
Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Scientist ‘B’ written Exam is given below :-
Scientist ‘B’ – Medical/Epidemiology – MBBS Level
a) All medical subjects (MBBS Level)
b) Molecular Biology aspects – Genetics, DNA/RNA structure, transcription, translation, genomics, proteomics, molecular methods line probes, PCR, DNA fingerprinting, DNA chips etc.
c) Clinical as well as epidemiological aspects of (i) communicable diseases like leprosy, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, encephalitis, viral diseases including like measles, hemorrhagic fevers and various vector borne diseases including malaria, acute flaccid, paralysis, diarrheal diseases, (ii) health hazards to environmental pollution due to chemical pollutants and industrial exposures, (iii) reproductive health, (iv) nutrition.
Scientist ‘B’ – Veterinary Science
a) All veterinary subjects at B.VSc. & AH Level
b) Molecular Biology aspects – Genetics, DNA, RNA structure, transcription, translation, genomics, proteomics, molecular methods line probes, PCR, DNA fingerprinting, DNA chips etc.
c) Handling of the experimental animals, Health and regulatory aspects of animal experiments management of the animal health.
d) Animal models for studying the pathology, treatment and prevention for viral diseases, malaria Tuberculosis etc.
Scientist ‘B’ – Life Sciences
a) Overall knowledge of concepts in microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, at M.Sc. Level etc.
b) Applied aspects of Nutrition, biochemistry, biotechnology, molecular biology, environmental science, medical laboratory technology sciences, human health.
c) Knowledge about clinical and epidemiology of nutrition disorders, TB, Occupational and Industrial Health particularly in relation to chemical pollution food borne pathogens, immunohaemotology disorders, genetics disorders, vector borne diseases, repository of the pathogens. Viral diseases of importance in India and global spread. Infectious diseases and environmental health.
Scientist ‘B’ (Biostatistics)
a) Statistical methods relevant for designing of experimental and clinical studies for various communicable non-communicable diseases and maternal and child health, other diseases of national importance.
b) Knowledge of various data bases, health informatics and bioinformatics tools such as organization of data bases, data content and formats in relation to human health.
c) Knowledge of the diseases for clinical and epidemiological aspects of malaria and other vector borne diseases, important non-communicable diseases, environmental and occupational health, HIV, TB etc.
Scientist ‘B’ (Anthropology/Social Behavioral Science)
a) Overall knowledge about physiology, sociology, anthropology, social work and health economics in the contxt of health problems of India.
b) Social behavioral issues relevant for the national programmes on cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, TB, malaria, Diarrhoeal diseases, common respiratory infections, vector borne diseases, nutrition, gender issues : low female ratio and Gender violence.
c) Epidemiological issues relevant for the national programmes on cancer, cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, TB, malaria, Diarrhoeal diseases, common respiratory infections, vector borne diseases, nutrition, gender issues : low female ratio and Gender violence.

The exam for the post of Scientist B is scheduled on Feb 8 2015. is there any further change in exam date please intimate us by phone.
