NABARD Assistant Manager Syllabus 2018
National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development eminently known as NABARD will going to conduct an ONLINE Written exam for recruitment to post of Assistant Manager under Grade A. As we all know that Post of AM is very prestigious & taking greater knowledge with responsibility. So NABARD conduct this Exam in two Phases.

EXAM PATTERN
About Preliminary Examination – Main Examination :-
The Preliminary Examination is only qualifying in nature and is meant to serve as a screening test. Only those candidates who score sufficiently high in both, individual tests & in aggregate, shall be shortlisted for Main Examination in the calling ratio of maximum 1:25 based on the cut off arrived on performance of the candidates in the examination. Similarly, only such candidates who score the cut off marks or above in the Main Examination will be shortlisted for interview. The calling ratio for Interview shall be a maximum of 1:5. There will be penalty for wrong answers marked by the candidate. For every wrong answer marked, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as penalty in Phase I and Phase II, both. Cut-offs in Phase I and Phase II may be applied in two stages: (i) On scores in individual tests, (ii) On Total Score.
Since the vacancies are earmarked discipline-wise, merit list of candidates for each stage will be prepared discipline-wise. B. The final selection of the applicants for the post of Assistant Manager in Grade ‘A’(RDBS) will be based on their performance in the Phase-II Main Examination and Interview, taken together. In case of candidates securing same marks their ranking will be decided as under:
I. Among the candidates having equal marks in total (Main examination +interview taken together), the candidate with higher marks in Main Examination will be ranked higher.
II. In case of having equal marks in Main Examination also, candidate with higher qualification or in case of similar qualification, candidate with higher marks in graduation will be ranked higher. In case of further tie-up, the candidate senior in age will be ranked higher.
For shortlisting from Prelims to Mains and Mains to Interview, all candidates with tied marks will be shortlisted.
Phase I (Preliminary Exam)
Phase I will be Online Written exam consisting of 200 marks. Scheme of Exam is as follows:-

► Total Time Duration of exam is 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► There will be penalty for wrong answers i.e. for every wrong answer, one-fourth of the mark assigned to that question will be deducted from those obtained by the candidates.
Phase II (Main Exam)
Candidates who are qualified in Phase-I exam will be Appeared in Phase-II exam. In Phase-II examination there are two papers. Main Examination will be online and will be a mix of MCQ and descriptive pattern.
Paper-I (Descriptive online through key board) General English: – 100 marks
► The analytical and drafting abilities of the candidate shall be assessed through the Descriptive Paper on General English comprising essay writing, comprehension, report writing, paragraph Page 10 of 28writing & letter writing. Essay (40 Marks), Precis (20 Marks), Questions on the Precis para (20Marks), Report / Letter Writing (20 Marks).
► Duration: 1½ hrs.
Paper-II : (MCQ) – 100 marks
i) for posts as at (i) in Table I – Economic & Social Issues and Agriculture & Rural Development (with focus on rural India).
ii) for posts as at (ii) to (x) in Table I : Paper on related discipline.
► Duration: 1 1⁄2 hrs. – 100 Marks
Phase III – Interview
Applicants qualifying in the Phase-II Examination and securing sufficiently high rank in merit shall be short-listed for interview. Marks for Interview : 25 Marks

Phase I (Preliminary Exam)
Exam Syllabus for NABARD Phase I Exam is given below:-
Reasoning :- Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
English Language :- Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.
Computer Knowledge :- Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.
General Awareness :- Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.
Quantitative Aptitude :- Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.
Phase II (Main Exam)

Essay, Précis Writing, Comprehension And Business/Office Correspondence. The Paper On English Shall Be Framed In A Manner To Assess The Writing Skills Including Expressions And Understanding The Topic.
