Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) had invited applications for Office Assistant (Grade-3), Stenographer and Office Assistant (Accounts). About Exam : There are many Candidates who filled the Application Form for the Above Vacant Posts and Now the Candidates are waiting for there exam. The Exam Will be Conducted in the Month of November. The Exam will be Written Type.
As we all know that this is not a easy task now to clear a Competitive exam. Many candidates did hard work but still they did not get good marks this is only because of a weak syllabus which the candidates use. Exam Pattern :-
- The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
- Question paper will contain two parts.
- Part-1 will test ‘Computer Knowledge’ and carry 50 questions of 01 mark each.
- Part-2 will carry 200 questions of 01 mark each based on the following subjects :

- There will also be a negative marking of 1/4 marks for every wrong answer in both parts.
- Candidates must have to attain minimum 20 marks in Part-1. Otherwise, their answers of Part-2 will not be evaluated.
Exam Syllabus : The Syllabus of Examination is as follows:
Computer Knowledge : In this Exam the Question will be asked from O Level of NIELIT. All questions will be related to Computer Knowledge.
General Study : History, Geography and Socio Economic development of Uttar Pradesh and India. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India
Logical knowledge : Analogy, Classification, Also Alphabet Series, Number Series/ Puzzle, Mixed Series, Coding as well as Decoding, Blood Relation, Direction and Distance, Also, Problem-based on Comparison, Word Formation, Logical Sequence of Words, Schedule Time/ Date/ Day/ Year, Clock and Calendar, Also, Venn Diagram, Syllogisms, Mathematical Operation, Arithmetical Reasoning as well as Matrix based Reasoning, Cubes and Dice, Counting and Figures, Also, Figure Formation and Analysis, Paper Cutting and Folding, Visual Reasoning, Mirror and Water Image, Besides, Non-verbal series, etc.
General Hindi : वर्तनी की सामान्य अशुद्धियाँ तथा शब्दों के शब्द रूप, शब्दों के स्त्रीलिंग, बहुवचन, किसी वाक्य को अन्य लिंग में परिवर्तन, मुहावरा व उनका अर्थ, अशुद्ध वाक्यों के शुद्ध रूप, विलोमार्थी शब्द, समानार्थी व पर्यायवाची शब्द, अनेक शब्दों के लिए एक शब्द, कहावतें व लोकोक्तियां के अर्थ, संधि विच्छेद, क्रिया से भाववाचक संज्ञा बनाना, रचना एवं रचयिता इत्यादि|
General English : Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.
Typing & Shorthand Test
Only for Stenographer Post
Shorthand Test : In this Exam there will be a Dictation in Hindi for which the Candidates will get 05 Minutes. To write this Dictation on Computer the Candidates will got 30 Minutes. So This exam will be of 30 Minutes.
for Stenographer/ Office Assistant Post
Typing Test : This Exam will be Conducted in Hindi and English Both Language. The Hindi Typing Test will be taken in Kruti Dev 010 or 016 Font. For this Test the Candidates needs to Participate in 05 Minutes of Exam on Computer to Calculate the Typing Speed.
Note : Candidates should type the 60 words/ Minute. At the Speed of 30-30 Words/ Minute in Hindi & English for the Selection.
