ASAD Exam Syllabus 2014
Assam Secretariat Administration (Estt.) Department had recently invited application to fill up the posts of Junior Administrative Assistant. ASAD will adopt an appropriate selection procedure under this recruitment process and conduct a competitive Examination and interview for direct recruitment of Junior Administrative Assistants.
Notice : Candidates who applied for this competitive Examination must have to prepare perfectly to clear this examination and being select for the post. Most of the candidates are ignorant about scheme of exam and its prescribed syllabus. But, nothing about to worry here we are going to discuss the pattern of written test and its syllabus under selection procedure prescribed by Assam Secretariat Administration Department.
Exam Pattern : Scheme of Examination of Junior Administrative Assistant Exam is as follows :

► The paper in General Assamese/Bengali.Bodo/Alternative English shall be qualifying in nature and the candidate shall have to secure minimum 20 marks to qualify.
► Only those candidates who qualify in the competitive examination taken on the subject mentioned Sr. No. 1, 2 and 3 above, shall be asked to appear for the computer test.
Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Junior Administrative Assistant Exam is as follows :
General English : Spot the Error, Fill in the Blanks, Synonyms/Homonyms, Antonyms, Spellings/Detecting Mis-spelt words, Idioms & Phrases, One word substitution, Improvement of Sentences, Active/Passive Voice of Verbs, Conversion into Direct/Indirect narration, Shuffling of Sentence parts, Shuffling of Sentences in a passage, Cloze Passage, Comprehension Passage.
General Knowledge : History, Geography and Socio Economic development of Himachal Pradesh. Knowledge of current events of National and International importance and such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. Paper will also include questions on Modern History (From 1857 onwards) of India, Indian culture, Indian Polity, Indian Economy, Geography of India.
Quantitative Aptitude : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
Précis Writing and Drafting (English or Assamese) : The question either English or Assamese to be set should be designed to test the candidate’s ability to prepare notes and draft. In addition passages may also be set for summary and précis to test the ability of comprehension.
Knowledge of Computer (Computer Test) : Operating System Windows 2003-2007, Windows Xp, Microsoft Office 2003-2007, Processor & Memory, Database Management System, Computer Languages, Languages, Introduction to Internet & Internet Working.
