About Assam Animal Husbandry Grade IV Recruitment :
Gauhati University has Announced the Recruitment of 507 Posts of Grade IV under Animal Husbandry & Veterinary Department, Assam. About Exam :
Candidates who applied online will be called for examination. The dates of examination will be notified soon.

Selection Process :
- Written Exam
Exam Pattern :
Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows:-
- The first Merit List will be prepared on the marks scored on OMR based written examination (Reasoning, Numerical Ability, History with special reference to Assam, Geography, English, General Knowledge)
- The Exam Will be of 100 marks .
- The Time Duration will be of 2 hours duration.
- There will be 1⁄4 (one fourth) negative mark for each wrong answer.
Exam Syllabus :
Exam Syllabus for Examination is given below :-
- Reasoning – Questions will be from topics- Analogies, Similarities, Differences, Space visualization, Problem solving, Analysis and Judgment, Decision-making, Visual memory, Discrimination, Observation, Relationship, Concepts, Arithmetical reasoning, Verbal and figure classification, Arithmetical number series, Abilities to deal with abstract ideas and symbols and their relationships, Arithmetical computations and other analytical functions.
- Numerical Ability – Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused. You don’t need to go deep in chapters just make your speed super fast and practice as much as you can.
- History with special reference to Assam – Question will be asked from Indian History, Indian Polity, Current Events, Geography, Economy etc. Focus will be on Current national & International events, banking, sports etc. Some questions from Finance & Marketing can be ask in the exam.
- Geography – In World Geography only general understanding of the subject will be expected. Questions on the Geography of India will relate to Physical, Social & Economic Geography of India.
- English – Passage, Preposition, Correction of sentences, active passive voice, direct indirect sentences, Verbs/Tense/Non Finites, Punctuation, Substituting phrasal verbs for expression, Synonyms and Antonyms, Use of adjective, Compound preposition, Determiners, Use of pronouns.
- General Knowledge – In this objective of questions about general knowledge of surrounding society of the candidates to test the awareness about surrounding activities. Questions will also be included towards a scientist sight and thinking which expected from an educated person. So, candidates should must focus on affairs about India and its adjacent countries too. Scientific Progress/Development, National/International Awards, Indian Languages, Books, Script, Capital, Currency, Sports-Athlete such as essential knowledge.
