Assam Police will Conduct the Physical Standards Test First, as Per the Selection Process. Written Exam Pattern For Safai Karmachari Posts is as Follows :

- Eye Sight: The distant vision should be 6/6 for at least one eye and not poorer than 6/9 for the other without correction. Near vision should be normal.
Exam Pattern For Assam Police Tailor & Dresser Posts :
- Written test will consist of 100 multiple choice type questions.
- Question Paper will be Set To be Answered on OMR Answer Sheet.
- For each correct answer the candidate will get Half mark (0.5 marks).
- Questions will be of the level of class IX and X.
- Total marks for the Written Test will be 50.
- There will be no negative marking.
- The subjects to be covered will be as follows:-

- iv. Assam’s History, Geography, Polity, Economy
- v. General Awareness/General Knowledge and Current Affairs.
- The Question Paper for Written Exam will be in the following languages:- Assamese/ Bodo/ Bengali/English.
Detailed Syllabus for Assam Police Tailor Dresser Posts :
Elementary Mathematics : The test of Arithmetical and Numerical abilities will cover Number Systems including questions on Simplification, Decimals, Fractions, L.C.M., H.C.F., Ratio & Proportion, Percentage, Average, Profit & Loss, Discount, Simple & Compound Interest, Mensuration, Time & Work, Time & Distance, Tables & Graphs, etc.
General English : Candidates’ ability to understand correct English, his basic comprehension and writing ability, etc. would be tested. Questions will be asked from error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc.
Logical Reasoning /Mental Ability : Verbal reasoning: Coding, Decoding, Analogy, Classification, Series, Direction sense test, relations, mathematical operations, time test, odd man out problems. Non Verbal reasoning: Series, Analogy and Classification. Basic numerical skills, Percentage, Number system, LCM and HCF, Ratio and Proportion, Number series, Average, Problems based on Ages, Profit & Loss, Partnership and Mixture, Simple and Compound Interest, Work and Time, Time and Distance. Mensuration and Data Interpretation. It will include questions of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualization, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc.

- Ancient Assam: Bhagadutta, Bhaskar Varman
- Medieval Assam : Sukapha, Naranarayana, Vaishnava movement, Sufi movement.
- Modern Assam: Advent of the British rule, Assam under colonial rule, Assam’s role in the freedom movement.
- GEOGRAPHY OF ASSAM:
- Physical, economic and human-physical division.
- Climate, biodiversity.
- Agriculture, tea, oil, cottage and small scale industries.
- Polity, Economy Of Assam.
General Awareness/General Knowledge and Current Affairs. : Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture...
Trade Proficiency Test (TPT) For Tailor & Dresser Posts :
Candidates will be called for the TPT in order of merit at the rate of 5 (five) times the number of posts allotted in respect of each category as per vacancies. If there are candidates scoring the same marks in Written Test as the last candidate selected for the TPT by the 5 times formula in a particular case. Check More Details in the Notification Below;
Document Verification
All the original documents along with a set of Photostat copies of the documents will be checked before the candidate is allowed to appear in the PST and TPT as per the given eligibility criteria.
- Certificate for proof of age. (Admit card or Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination).
- Certificate of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination.
- Marksheet of H.S.L.C. or equivalent examination.
- Birth Certificate issued by the Competent Authority as mentioned at Para II (c) above by the candidates who have not appeared in HSLC or equivalent examination.
- Class VI Passed Certificate for the candidates who have not appeared in HSLC or equivalent examination For the Post Of Safai Karmachai.
- Certificate of diploma qualification as mentioned at Para II (d) above.
- Diploma of Tailoring from the Institute recognized by Govt. of Assam for candidates who apply for the posts of Tailor.
- 02 (two) years experience certificate on Dresser (Medical) work from a Govt. recognized Institute for candidates who apply for the post of Dresser.
- Employment Exchange Registration Card.
- Certificate of Caste from Competent Authority. NO CASTE CERTIFICATE ISSUED BY OTHER STATES WILL BE ACCEPTED.
Final Merit List For Safai Karmachari Post :
Final Merit List Will be Prepared On the Basis of this following Marks Criteria Below ;
