Border Security Force (BSF) had invited application for Recruitment to 1072 Posts of Head Constable (Radio Mechanic & Radio Operator). Many Candidates Applied for these Posts. The Process of Application Submission is Conducted Online. Online Application Process is Commenced from the Date 14 May, 2019 Till the Date 12.06.2019. Border Security Force (BSF) Will Conduct the Exam for Head Constable (Radio Mechanic) and Head Constable (Radio Operator) Posts. First Phase Will be OMR Based Written Test & Conducted on the Date 28 July 2019. 2nd Phase Will be PET, PST & Documentation & Descriptive Written Test Conducted on the Date 09 Oct 2019 & 24 Nov 2019. Exam Pattern :- BSF HC/RO & ASI/RM Exam Pattern will be as follows :
- The written test will be multiple choice objective type.
- There will be a composite paper carrying 100 questions of 200 marks.
- The duration of test will be 03:00 hours (180 minutes).
- Each question shall carry 02 marks and 0.50 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The Exam Will be Bilingual i.e. English & Hindi.

Note: However, number of candidates to qualify in OMR Based screening test and further to appear in the next phase shall be restricted to 20 times the number of vacancies for recruitment post.
Exam Syllabus :- BSF Radio Operator & Mechanic syllabus is given below :
Physics : Physical world and measurements, Laws of Motion, Work, Energy and Power, Gravitation, current electricity, magnetism, optics, reflection and refraction, electronic devices, communication system etc.
Chemistry : Atoms, elements and their properties, chemical bonding, molecular structure, matter, gases, liquid, metals, non-metals, acids, carbon, hydrogen, equilibrium, isolation, compounds etc.
Mathematics : Relations, trigonometry, complex numbers, quadratic equations, sequence and series, geometry, mathematical reasoning, statistics, mean, median, mode, deviation, variance etc.
English & GK : In English Error recognition, fill in the blanks (using verbs, preposition, articles etc), Vocabulary, Spellings, Grammar, Sentence Structure, Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Completion, Phrases and Idiomatic use of Words, etc. In GK Modern History of India, Indian culture, Polity, Economy, Geography of India, everyday science, observation and experiences, current events, national and international importance, sports, couture etc.

Descriptive Written Test
a) Written Test (Descriptive Pattern) :
A Descriptive Paper of Maximum 150 Marks Covering Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Logical Reasoning & English (12th Standard). Max- Time- 2 Hrs 30 Minutes.
b) Dictation Test :
- Dictation test (in English writing) of minimum 100 words – 50 Marks.
- Paragraph reading (To test Proficiency in Pronunciation and reading of the Candidates) – Qualifying in Nature
Note: Qualifying marks for the dictation test will be 38% & for General/OBC and 33% for SC/ST candidates.
Both above Descriptive Tests will be Mandatory and the final merit will be prepared on the marks obtained in these tests.
- 2.5 Marks will be Deducted for each admission/mistake of single letter.
- 5 Marks will be deducted for each word mistake/omission.
