General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) has Recently Announced and Invited the Online Applications from the Eligible Candidates for the Posts of Assistant Manager (Scale-I). General Insurance Corporation of India (GIC) will conduct the Written Exam for the Posts of Assistant Manager (Scale-I) Soon.

Exam Pattern :

Exam Pattern for the Written Exam is as Follows:-

• Part A & B will be of Subjective Type and Part C will be of Subjective Type.
• Questions will be in the MCQ form for Part A & B.
• Total Number of Questions in this Exam will be 123.
• Maximum Marks for this Exam will be 150 marks.
• Total test timing 150 minutes, 30 minutes for PART A- Objective, 60 minutes for Part B objective and 60 minutes for Part C (descriptive).
• Details about the Negative Marking is not provided by the Official Department of GIC.

• Minimum qualifying marks in the online test –60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST.
• Minimum qualifying marks for overall selection process(online test, GD and Interview)–60% for General & OBC and 50% for SC /ST

Exam Syllabus :

Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions,  arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.

English Language: Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms,  Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc.

Numerical Ability: Questions will be asked from Simplification, Average, Percentage, Time & Work, Area, profit & Loss, Simple & Compound Interest, Time & Speed, Investment, HCF LCM, Problem On Ages , Bar Graph, Pictorial Graph, Pie Chart. Date Interpretation is the section which have to be focused.

General Awareness: Questions will be asked from Indian Current Events, Banking, General Science, General Knowledge. Focus will be mainly on Current affairs of National & International news, Important dates, Current Science, Technology, Sports & Culture & Banking Sector. Some questions from Marketing can come in the exam.

Computer Knowledge : Basic of Computers, Computer Organization, Generations of computer, Input & Output Device, Shortcuts & Basic knowledge MS word, MS Excel, MS power point, Memory Orientation, Internet, LAN, WAN, Modem, Computer Abbreviations, Modern day Technology. Remember short cut Tricks of MS Word, MS Excel & Computer Abbreviations.
