ITBP ASI Stenographer Selection Process :
ITBP ASI Stenographer Recruitment will be Done On the Basis of this Following Selection Criteria Below;
- Physical Efficiency Test (PET),
- Physical Standard ‘rest (PST),
- Written Test.
- Skill Test,
- Documentation,
- Detailed Medical Examination (DME)/ Review Medical Examination (RME).
ITBP ASI Stenographer Physical Standard Test (PST) :

Weight : Corresponding to height and age as per Medical Standards (For Male and Female Candidates)
Eye Sight : The Minimum Distance Vision shall be 6/6 and 6/9 for both Eyes without Correction i.e. without wearing Spectacles or Lenses.
ITBP ASI Stenographer Physical Efficiency Test (PET) :-
The Physical Efficiency Test Details is as Follows :
For Male Candidates
| i) Race 1.6 Kms | To be completed within 7.30 Minutes. |
| ii) 11 Feet long Jump | 03 Chances to be given) |
| iii) 3 1⁄2 Feet High Jump | 03 Chances to be given) |
For Female Candidates
| i) Race 800 Meters | To be completed within 4.45 Minutes. |
| ii) 9 Feet long Jump | 03 Chances to be given) |
| iii) 3 Feet High Jump | 03 Chances to be given) |
NOTE : No Marks will be Awarded for this Test and PET Shall be Qualifying in Nature. Candidates are Required to Qualify each Event of PET who Do Not Qualify will be Eliminated.
NOTE 2 : PET will Not be held for Ex-Servicemen Applied For Direct Entry Vacancies.
ITBP ASI Stenographer Exam Syllabus :-
Exam Pattern is as Follows :-
► The written test will be conducted on OMR based Or Computer Based Test (CBT).
► The Exam will be Consist of Objective Type Multiple Choice Questions.
► The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
► The written test will be of 100 marks.
► Written examination will consist of the following four parts:-

Minimum Qualifying Marks For ITBP ASI Steno Post :
Qualifying marks shall be 35% for General Candidates & Ex-Servicemen and 33% for Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribes /Other Backward Class in the written examination.

ITBP ASI Stenographer Skill Test :
The Skill Test will comprise of typing test on computer will be as follows;
- Dictation : 10 Minutes @80 Words Per Minute.
- Transcription :50 Minutes in (English) Or 65 minutes in (Hindi) on Computer.
- The Skill Test will be Qualifying in Nature.
ITBP ASI / Stenographer Exam Merit List :
After Completion of Skill Test, Merit List On Each Category will be Drawn on the Basis of Marks Obtained in the Written Examination. All the Selected Candidates in Merit List will be Called for Document Verification & Detailed Medical Examination.

- Date Of Birth Certificate (Matriculation/10th Class Certificate).
- Caste Certificate.
- Domicile Certificate.
- Discharge Certificate in case of Ex-Serviceman.
