About NLSIU:

The NATIONAL LAW SCHOOL OF INDIA UNIVERSITY came into existence through a Notification under the NATIONAL LAW SCHOOL OF INDIA UNIVERSITY Act (Karnataka Act 22 of 1986). It signified the culmination of efforts by the Judiciary, the Bar Council of India, the Karnataka Bar Council, the Bangalore University and the Government of Karnataka to reform legal education and to establish a centre of excellence for legal education and research in India

Intake:

The total intake of students shall be 120 (One Hundred and Twenty). The Reservation Notification 2021 has been published separately on the website.

About Exam:

Candidates who have submitted a valid application form will be required to appear for the NLAT. The Test shall be an online entrance examination to be held on 12th September, 2020. Candidates will attempt this examination using a computer device at their respective locations. Candidates will have to ensure that they can appear for the examination on the appropriate date and time using a computer device as per the detailed specifications that will be provided, including video and audio inputs. NLSIU shall not be responsible for any connectivity issues, or failure of internet connection during the examination. NLSIU reserves the right to cancel any candidate‟s examination based on misconduct or examination malpractice.

About NLAT Exam:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of the aggregate marks secured in an online home-based Entrance Examination known as the National Law Aptitude Test, 2020 (NLAT). The National Law Aptitude Test, 2020 (the “NLAT 2020”) will test applicants for admission to the undergraduate B.A., LL.B. (Hons) and postgraduate LL.M programmes commencing in 2020 at 5 the National Law school of India University, Bengaluru (“NLSIU”) on subjects that correspond to the subjects proposed to be tested in the Common Law Admission Test, 2020

About NLAT Admit Card:

Admit cards are available now so the candidates can download it now. The admit cards will be available on the login id from where students have applied for the admission. No admit card will be sent personally or by mail or phone numbers. Candidates have to download it by their own.

How to Download Admit Card:

  • Login with your Mobile number & Password
  • Then submit your details
  • Download the Call Letter
  • Take a print out of an Admit Card

When will the Mock Tests be held for NLAT 2020?

Mock Tests for NLAT 2020 will be available from 9 AM, September 9, 2020, until 12 AM (midnight), September 12, 2020. Candidates can attempt the Mock Test as many times as they want. Details to access the Mock Tests will be shared with all the registered candidates.

Are candidates allowed to use blank sheet and pen for rough work during the test?

Two blank A4 sheets and blue ball point pens are allowed for the test.

How many batches of students are there for UG NLAT 2020?

The UG NLAT will be conducted in three batches on September 12, 2020.

What are the timings for the UG NLAT 2020?

Batch 1:
Reporting time: 12:00 pm
Exam Start time: 12:30 pm
Batch 2:
Reporting time: 1.45 pm
Exam Start time: 2.15 pm
Batch 3:
Reporting time: 3:30 pm
Exam Start time: 4:00 pm
15 minutes extra will be given to PWD Candidates in accordance with the notification released on Sep 7, 2020.

What are the timings for LL.M. Candidates appearing for PG NLAT 2020?

Reporting time – 5:30 pm
Exam start time – 6:00 pm
Exam end time – 6:45 pm
Exam end time for PWD candidates – 7:00 pm
