As we know, Exam levels are being increasingly evident. Hence, candidate, should do better preparation for qualifying the exam. Here We are providing the prescribed pattern of RSMSSB exam with detailed syllabus.

Rajasthan Librarian Grade III Exam Pattern:-

The Exam Paper will have two Parts. More Information is as follows.

I	Paper-I :- General Knowledge i- Geographical, Historical, Cultural and general knowledge of Rajasthan ii- current affairs of Rajasthan iii- General knowledge of world and India iv- Educational Psychology.	100	200	2 Hrs
II	Paper-II :- Knowledge Organization, Informative Processing and Retrieval	100	200	2 Hrs

1. The Question Paper will be objective type with multiple choices of answers.
2. The question paper will carry 100 questions of multiple answers for each paper.
3. The Exam will have total 400 marks.
4. Time duration for the Exam is 02:00 hours for Each Paper.
5. There is also negative marking of 1/3 marks for each wrong answer.
6. The minimum qualifying marks for each paper shall be 40%. Provided that the percentage fixed as above shall be relaxed by 5% for the candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes.

RSMSSB Librarian Exam Syllabus as follows :-

Paper-I

1. Geographical, Historical, Cultural and general knowledge of Rajasthan
2. current affairs of Rajasthan
3. General knowledge of world and India
4. Educational Psychology

Paper-II

1. Universe of knowledge, Structure and Attributes, Modes of formation of subjects, Different types of subjects, Universe of subjects as mapped in different schemes of Classification.
2. Bibiolographic description.
   Catalog purpose, structure and types.
   Physical forms including OPAC filling rules.
   Normative principals of cataloging.
   Overview of principles of practice in document description.
   Current trends in standardization, Description and exchange, Standard course of cataloging.
3. Method of knowledge organization.
   General knowledge of world and India.
   General theory of Library classification.
   Normative principles of classification and their applications.
   Species of Library classification.
   Standard schemes of classification and there features, CC, EDC, UDC, Notation: need, functions, characteristics.
   Design and development of schemes library classification, Standard sub-division index. Trends in Library classification.
4. Subject Classification Educational psychology, Principles of subject classification.
