Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) will conduct a Preliminary Written the Main written exam for recruitment to the 44 Posts of Assistant Prosecution Officer. About Exam:
All the Eligible Candidates Will Face the Written Exam. A Preliminary written exam followed by Mains Exam Will be Conducted On 21 August 2022 and the Date of Written Examination IS Provided on the Official Website of UPPSC. More Details about the Exam is as Provided Below.

Selection Process:
There shall be two stages of Competitive Examination Viz. (1) Preliminary Examination (Objective and Multiple Choice Type) (2) Main Examination (Written Type) and Interview (Personality Test).
Preliminary Examination
Exam Pattern :
Exam Pattern for the APO Pre written Exam is as Follows:-
► The Preliminary written test will be multiple choice objective type.
► There will be a composite paper carrying 150 marks.
► The time duration for written test will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

Part-1 (Total No. of Question-50 on General Knowledge)
It will Include day to day happenings around India and the World with special reference to :-

- Current Events of National and International Importance …………………………..10 questions
- History of India …………………………..8 questions
- Indian National Movement …………………………..8 questions
- Indian Polity & Economy …………………………..8 questions
- World Geography and Population …………………………..8 questions
Candidates are expected to have general awareness about the above topics
Part-II (Total No. of Question-100 on Law):-
It will cover the following Acts and Law with No. of question indicated as under:-
- Indian Penal Code …………………………..35 questions
- Indian Evidence Act. …………………………..25 questions
- Criminal Procedure Code …………………………..25 questions
- U.P. Police Act. And Regulations under this Act. …………………………..15 questions
Mains Examination
Written Exam
Exam Pattern :- Exam pattern of Assistant Prosecution Officer Main exam is given below :-
► Main written exam will be subjective type.
► There will be 4 papers.
► Each Question Paper Will be of 100 Marks.
► Time of all question papers will be 03:00 hours (180 minutes).

UPPSC Assistant Prosecution Officer Main Exam Syllabus is as follows :-
- General Knowledge …………………………..100 Marks
- General Hindi …………………………..100 Marks (Question Paper will be High School Standard)
- Criminal Law & Procedure …………………………..100 Marks (Police Act & Regulations of Law Degree Standard)
- Law of Evidence …………………………..100 Marks (Which will include direct & Applied question of Law Degree Level)
Personality Test-
- There will be an Interview of 50 marks
- The suitability of the candidates shall be assessed with reference to his capacity, Character, Personality and Physical fitness.
- The Marks obtained in written test will be added to the obtained in Personality Test to consider the place of the candidate.
