Detail of Vacancies :

Total Posts – 250 Posts

Presently the number of vacancies for the Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination is about 250 Posts. Number of vacancies may increase or decrease depending upon the circumstances/requirements.

Age Limit :

Candidates must have attained the age of 21 years and must not have crossed the age of 40 years on July 1, 2022 i.e. they must have not been born earlier than 2nd July, 1982 and not later than July 1, 2001. For PH candidates, the maximum age limit is 55 years i.e. they must have not been born before 02 July, 1967.

1. Relaxation in Upper Age Limit:(a) Upper age limit shall be greater by five years for candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes of U.P., Scheduled Tribes of U.P., Other Backward Classes of U.P., Skilled players of U.P. of Classified Games, State Govt. Employees of U.P. including Teachers / Staff of the Basic Shiksha Parishad of U.P. and Teachers / Staff of the Government Aided Madhyamik Vidyalayas of U.P. i.e. they must have not been born before 2nd July, 1975. (b) Upper age limit shall be greater by fifteen years for physically handicapped persons of U.P.
2. Upper age limit shall also be greater by five years for Group- ‘B’ posts for the Emergency Commissioned Officers / Short Service Commissioned Officers / Ex-Army Personnel’s of U.P. who have rendered five years service in Army, but there shall be no reservation for Group- ‘B’ posts. In case of availability of Group-‘C’ posts in the Examination, the Age relaxation and reservation shall be given according to Rule

Pay Scale :

Pay scale as per 6th pay commission of Rs. 9300-34800 Grade Pay Rs 4600/- (except Naib Tehsildar whose grade pay is Rs. 4200/-) to Rs. 15600-39100/- Grade Pay Rs. 5400/-

Educational Qualification :

Under Combined State / Upper Subordinate Services (PCS) Examination

The candidates must possess Bachelors Degree of any recognised University or equivalent qualification upto the last date for receipt of application. This should be mentioned by the candidate in the relevant column of their application form but for some posts specific qualifications have been prescribed of which the details are given below:-

6	Chemist	1. M.Sc. in Organic Chemistry. 2. At least three years experience in Chemical analysis of edible products like Honey, Oil Spices etc. Priority:- 1. Special training in quality control. 2. Experience of five years of more in chemical analysis.
7	Officer on Special Duty (Computer)	Graduation degree in computer Engineering from recognised Government Institute. or 1. First Class Post Graduate Degree in Math and one year Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Science from a recognised institute. 2. One Year Experience in Computer Work.
8	District Cane Officer, U.P. Agriculture Service Group “B” (Development Branch)	Agriculture Graduate
9	Labour Enforcement Officer	Bachelor’s degree with Economics or Sociology or commerce and Post Graduate Diploma or Post graduate Degree in Law / Labour relation / Labor welfare / Labor Law / Commerce / Sociology / Social work / Social welfare / Trade Management / Personnel Management.
10	Management Officer/ Manager (Estate Department)	(i) A bachelor’s degree from a University established by law in India; (ii) Diploma in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from an Institution recognized by the Government. Or A bachelor’s degree in Hotel Management and Catering Technology from a University established by law in India.

Posts of Specific qualification only through written examination

11	Technical Assistant (Geophysics)	Post graduate degree with atleast 50 percent marks in Geophysics, Applied Geophysics, Geology or applied Geology (with Physics, Mathematics at the B.Sc. level) from a university established by law in India.
12	Tax Assessment Officer	Bachelor’s degree in commerce or economics with 55% marks

Application Fee :

The fee for Preliminary Examination according to the category is as under:-

How to Pay Fee :

After filling in the Candidates ‘Registration’ format of the On-line application, the candidate shall procure the print-out of the E-challan in duplicate. The E-Challan will be used to deposit the fee in any of the branches of State Bank of India or Punjab National Bank by the candidate according to his category. The fee will not be allowed to be deposited by any other mode except E-Challan.
