FTII Exam Syllabus 2014
Film and Television Institute of India, Pune had recently invited application to fill up the posts of Stenographer and Lower Division Clerk. FTII will adopt an appropriate selection procedure under this recruitment process such as written test and skill test. Written test will be conducted for the post of Lower Division Clerk and Stenographer. The Examination will be conducted in three tier i.e. written test, computer proficiency test and interview.
Notice : Candidates who applied for this competitive Examination must have to prepare perfectly to clear this examination and being select for the post. Most of the candidates are ignorant about scheme of exam and its prescribed syllabus. But, nothing about to worry here we are going to discuss the pattern of written test and its syllabus under selection procedure prescribed by FTII.
Exam Pattern : Scheme of Exam for Stenographer and LDC written test is as follows :
► The written examination will be multiple choice objective type.
► The paper based on (i) General Knowledge, (ii) Numerical Aptitude, (iii) General Intelligence & Reasoning and (iv) General English.
► This test can be attempted in Hindi or English language.
► Time Duration will be of 02:00 hours (120 minutes).
Exam Syllabus : Syllabus of Exam for Stenographer and LDC written test is given hereunder :
General Knowledge : Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates’ general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of every day observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Policy & Scientific Research etc.
Numerical Aptitude : The questions will be designed to test the ability of appropriate use of numbers and number sense of the candidate. The scope of the test will be computation of whole numbers, decimals, fractions and relationships between numbers, percentage, averages, interest, profit & loss, time & distance, time & work, basic algebraic identities of school algebra, Bar diagram & Pie chart etc.
General Intelligence and Reasoning : This component may include questions on analogies, similarities & differences, space visualization, problem solving, analysis, judgement, decision making, visual memory, discrimination, observation, relationship concepts, arithmetical reasoning and figural classification, number/ figural series, numerical operations, coding and decoding etc.
General English : Questions in this component will be designed to test the candidate’s understanding & knowledge of English language and will be based on spot the error, fill in the blanks, synonyms, antonyms, spelling/ detecting mis-spelt words, one word substitution, active/passive voice of verbs, tenses, conversion into direct/indirect narration, comprehension passage.
