Lok Sabha Secretariat Exam Syllabus 2014
Lok Sabha Secretariat will conduct a Written exam (Preliminary and Main) for recruitment of posts of Stenographer and Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade). Nowadays Competition Level become very high so Competitive Exams gets too tougher. Candidates facing critical problem of “What to prepare” and “How to prepare”. So, here we are providing the latest Syllabus & Exam Pattern of Stenographer Exam conducting by MP High Court.
Stenographer
Plan of Examination : Eligible candidates will have to appear in examination/skill test/trade test as per the following scheme :
(i) Preliminary written examination (qualifying nature) – 100 marks
(ii) Descriptive Type Written Paper and Stenography Test – 200 marks
Cut-off Marks : The minimum cut off percentages of marks in Written Test in an examination is 50%, 45% and 40% for vacancies in Gen, OBC and SC/ST categories, respectively.
Preliminary Examination
► The written test will be multiple choice/objective type.
► The time duration will be 50 minutes.

Exam Syllabus : Exam Syllabus for Lok Sabha Secretariat Stenographer (Pre) written Exam is given below :-
General Knowledge : The paper will carry a maximum mark of 100 and will be designed to test the candidates knowledge of matters including current events and of such matters of every day observation and experience in their scientific aspects as may be expected of an educated person who has not made a special study of any scientific subject. The paper will also include question on Indian History and Geography of a nature which the candidates should be able to answer without special study.
General English : Verb, preposition, adverb, subject verb agreement, Error Correction/ recognition, tenses, sentences rearrangement, fill in the blanks with articles etc., comprehension, answering questions based on unseen passage, vocabulary, synonyms and antonyms usage, vocabulary & grammar, Proficiency in the language.
Main written Examination
► The written test will be Descriptive type.
► The time duration will be 02:00 hours (120 minutes).

Important : A candidate will be considered for appointment against the vacancies in that stream (English/Hindi) only, in which he qualifies Paper-I (Essay, Letter and Grammar) and Paper-II (Stenography Test). The candidates will have to qualify Papers-I & II in the same stream (English/Hindi). A candidate who is eligible for the post of Stenographer in both English and Hindi streams will not be allowed any time break for attempting the Descriptive Type Written Paper in both English and Hindi streams. After attempting the paper in one stream and handing over the answer sheet to invigilator, they will be allowed further 02 hours time for attempting the paper in the other stream. The answer scripts of Paper-I of only those candidates will be evaluated who qualify Paper-II at the requisite speed of 80 w.p.m. Candidates will have to secure the minimum qualifying marks in Paper-I.
Staff Car Driver (Ordinary Grade)
Plan of Examination : Eligible candidates will have to appear in examination/skill test/trade test as per the following scheme :
(i) Written Test – 100 marks
(ii) Trade Test – 100 marks
Written Test
► The written test will be Descriptive Type.
► The time duration will be 01:00 hours (60 minutes).
► The paper will be descriptive type and bilingual with candidates having the option of answering it either in English or in Hindi.
► The question paper will consists question from Driving Techniques and Motor Car Mechanism.
Trade Test
Traffic Regulations and Motor Vehicles Act; Mechanical Skills; and Practical Test in Driving.
The candidates will have to secure minimum 50% marks in the Trade Test.
