KSET 2014 Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Karnataka State Eligibility Test (K-SET) is conducted for Lecturers/ Assistant Professors in Karnataka. Ignorance about exam pattern & syllabus is biggest hindrance in cracking any exam. So in this Article we are thoroughly discussed about Exam Pattern & Syllabus of KSET.
Exam Pattern:- The written test will be consisting of three papers. The test for all the three papers will consist of only Multiple-choice Questions (MCQ).

Paper-I | General Paper is on Teaching and Aptitude | 60 out of which 50 questions to be attempted | 100 | 75 Minutes |
Paper-II | Subject Paper | 50 questions all are compulsory | 100 | 75 Minutes |
Paper-III | Subject paper (in depth questions) | 75 questions all are compulsory | 150 | 150 Minutes |
- All Questions carry 2 marks each.
- There will be No Negative Marking.
Exam Syllabus:- Syllabus for K-SET examination will be the same as in UGC/CSIR-NET. We are provided Syllabus separately for State Eligibility Test.
General Paper:- In this section questions will be asked from Teaching Aptitude, Research Aptitude, Reading Comprehension, Communication, Reasoning(Including Mathematical), Logical Reasoning, Data Interpretation, Information and Communication Technology (ICT), People and Environment, Higher Education System : Governance, Polity And Administration.

Note:- Mathematical Science Question paper for KSET 2014 examination (Paper-II & Paper-III) will have 60% questions from Mathematics part ( i.e. Unit – 1 to 3 of the syllabus) and 40% of questions from Statistics part (i.e. Unit – 4 of the syllabus).
