RMSA STET Exam Pattern & Syllabus
Rashtriya Madhyamik Siksha Abhiyan (RMSA) will be conducting the Special Teacher Eligibility Test (STET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for Secondary Education. Students do misguided study due to lack of Information about Exam Pattern & Syllabus. For CTET 2014 aspirants Exam Pattern & Syllabus is discussed here:-
Exam Pattern:- Examination will have a Single Objective Multiple Choice Type Paper consisting 200 Marks.

Part-1 | General Studies and Current Affairs | 100 Marks |
Part-2 | Pedagogy and General English | 100 Marks |
- Total Time Duration of exam is 3 Hours.
- Sub Division Of Marks is as Follows:-
- General Studies- 80 Marks & Current Affairs- 20 Marks.
- Pedagogy- 75 Marks & General English- 25 Marks.
Exam Syllabus:-
General Studies:- Questions in this section will be asked from History and Culture of India with Special Emphasis on Assam History, Indian Political System and Constitution of India, General Science and Technology, Geography of India with Special emphasis on Assam, Economy of India with Special emphasis on Assam, Mental Ability and Reasoning, Environment, Secondary Education in India and Management of Schools.
Current Affairs:- Matters of State, National and International importance, Political and Economic developments, Culture, Art, Literature, Games, Sports, Scientific & Technological Advancements, etc.
Pedagogy:- Questions will be ask from General Principles of Teaching, Maxims of Teaching, Significant trends in Modern Teaching Learning Process, Teaching Skills, Taxonomy of Educational Objectives: Cognitive, Affective & Psychomotor, Teaching Aids, Educational Psychology- Its Meaning and Nature: Application of Educational Psychology in the class room, Education of Children with Special Needs, Mental Health and Hygiene, Adjustment and Mechanism, Significance of Adolescence Period, Juvenile Delinquency & Understanding Developmental Hazards during adolescence.
General English:- Determiners, Tense Forms, Auxiliaries- primary and modals, Active and passive voice, Appropriate prepositions, Vocabulary-antonyms, Synonyms, Pairs of Words, Composition, Letter Writing- Personal and Formal, Phrases and idioms, Punctuation, Sentence structure – word order, Precis writing, Paragraph writing.
