About Heavy Water Board Steno UDC Recruitment:-

Heavy Water Board (HWB) has recently announced about the recruitment of 277 Posts of Category –I Stipendiary Trainee, Category II, Technical Officer-D, Scientific Assistant / B & Various Post. The Process of Submitting application form is started from 11-01-2020 & Conducted till the Date of 31-01-2020. More Details about the Recruitment is Provided Below.

Selection Process:-

Technical Officer-D

  • Interview

Stipendiary Trainee (Category I) & Scientific Assistant/B (Civil/ Radiography)

  • Written Examination & Interview

Driver (Ordinary Grade)

  • Level – 1 Written Exam
  • Level – 2 Driving Test

Driver-Cum-Pump Operator-Cum-Fireman/A

  • The selection process involves Physical Assessment Test, Driving Test and Written Exam in 2 Stages (Preliminary Test & Advanced Test):

Stipendiary Trainee (Category II) & Nurse/A

  • The selection process for Category –II will comprise of 3 stages. (Stage 1 (Preliminary Test) & 2 (Advanced Test) –Written Test and Stage 3 –Skill Test). Stage 1 & 2 Written Tests will be conducted on the same day in multiple sessions.

Stenographer Grade –III

Level 1 Test – Objective Test covering:
Level 2 Test – Stenography skill Test.

Technician-C (Crane / Forklift Operator)

  • Stage-1 Preliminary Test,
  • Stage-2 Advanced Test and
  • Stage-3 Skill Test.

Sub Officer/B

Physical Endurance Test and Written Tests in  2  stages (Stage-1 Preliminary Test, Stage-2 Advanced Test.)

All the Candidates must Download there Admit Card for the Written Exam. Without having a admit Card no one Candidate will be allowed to give the Exam. Exam Pattern:-

Exam Pattern Will be as Follows:

Technical Officer-D

In case, the response is more, HWB reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to be called for Interview by conducting screening test of the eligible candidates. The decision of HWB will be final and binding. Final Selection of the candidates will be based on the performance of the candidates in Interview alone.

Stipendiary Trainee (Category I)

  • Objective type Written Test of Two Hour duration in the following proportion :
    Part- A – Psychometric / Aptitude / General Knowledge – 30 Questions
    Part- B – Day-to-Day Science – 20 Questions
    Part-C – Specific to Discipline – 50 Questions
  • Each correct answer will carry 1 (one) mark and each wrong answer will carry½ [half] negative mark.
  • Candidates will be called for interview on the basis of merit of marks obtained in Written Test in the ratio 1:5. Final Selection will be made on the basis of Written Test and Personal Interview.
  • Minimum marks for qualifying in the Interview will be 50% for empanelment.
  • Weightage of Marks for selection will be 70% in Stage-I (Written Test) & 30% in Stage-II(Interview).

Stipendiary Trainee (Category II), Nurse/A & Technician-C (Crane / Forklift Operator)

The selection process for Category –II will comprise of 3 stages. (Stage 1 & 2 Written Test and Stage 3 –Skill Test). Stage 1 & 2 Written Tests will be conducted on the same day in multiple sessions.

STAGE 1 -Preliminary Test

  • 50 objective  type  questions  consisting  of  Mathematics-20  questions,  Science-20 questions, and General Awareness-10 questions of one hour duration.
  • “3” (Three) Marks will be awarded for each correct answer and “1” (One) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • All candidates  with  <40%  in  General  Category  and  <30%  in  reserved  category will be screened out.

STAGE 2 -Advanced Test

  • All candidates Screened in Stage-I Test will only be allowed to undertake Stage-2 –Advanced Test.
  • The Stage-2 Test will comprise of 50 Objective type questions from the respective trades for  ITI  and  HSC  (12th)  for  Process  Plant  Operator/Chemical  (Laboratory) (equal % of question from Physics, Chemistry & Maths).
  • “3” (Three) Marks will be awarded for each correct answer and “1” (One) Mark will be deducted for each incorrect answer.
  • All candidates  with  <30%  in  General  Category  and  <20%  in  reserved  category will be screened out.
  • A Merit  list  of  candidates  will  be  prepared  based  on  scores  obtained  in Stage  2 Test only.

Scientific Assistant/B (Civil / Radiography)

The Written Test is as follows:-

  • Objective type Written Test of Two Hour duration in the following proportion :
    Part-A– Psychometric/ Aptitude/ General Knowledge -30 Questions
    Part-B –Day-to-Day Science -20 Questions
    Part-C -Specific to Discipline -50 Questions
  • Each correct answer will carry 1 (one) mark and each wrong answer will carry½ [half] negative mark.

Sub Officer/B

Physical Standards – No deformity.
Minimum Height: 165 cms. (Min.), Weight: 50 Kgs. (Min.) Chest: 81 cms. (normal) & 86 cms. (Expanded), Vision: 6/6 without wearing glasses or any other aid. Night or colour blindness shall be disqualification.

Stenographer Grade –III/ Upper Division Clerk (UDC)

Level 1 Test –
Objective Test covering:
a) General English
b) General Knowledge
c)  General Intelligence & Reasoning and
d) Quantitative Aptitude (Arithmetic)
Qualifying Standard for Level-1 Test:
General Category: 50% aggregate    SC/ST/OBC/PH: 40% aggregate

Driver (Ordinary Grade)

Level 1 Test:
(Objective Questions  based  on  General  Knowledge, General English,  Arithmetic, Motor Vehicle Act).
