West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) Will conduct a written & Computer Proficiency Test for recruitment of Assistant Engineer.As the year passes level of competition gets tougher. 1.Exam pattern for Written test:-

3. There will be Viva-voce of 30 marks. Thus Total Selection Process will be from 15 Marks.

Qualifying Marks Criteria : The minimum qualifying marks to be obtained in each part of the Aptitude test is prescribed as under :

- Scheduled Caste 35%

The detail of WBSEDCL AE Syllabus is given below:-
General Awareness : Questions will be aimed at testing the candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him/her and its application to society. Questions will also be designed to test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations and experience in their scientific aspect as may be expected of any educated person. The test will also include questions relating to India and its neighboring countries especially pertaining to History, Culture, Geography, Economic Scene, General Polity and Scientific Research, etc. These questions will be such that they do not require a special study of any discipline.
Reasoning : Focus on Comprehension Reasoning, Venn Diagrams, Number Series, Coding and de-coding, Problem Solving Techniques, Statement & Conclusion type questions, arithmetic reasoning, arithmetical number series, non-verbal series, syllogistic reasoning, Seating Arrangements.
Numerical Analysis: Blood Relation,Time & Work,Arithmetical Reasoning,Decimals & Fractions,Ratio & Proportion,Mixtures & Allegations,Embedded Figures,Discount,Time & Distance,Profit & Loss.
English : Mainly Focus on the topics like Synonyms, Antonyms, Sentence Error, Sentence correction, fill in the blanks, Comprehension & Cloze Test etc..
